Below is the journey of the beveled glass arched window.
It definitely accomplished the WOW factor that I was looking for at the entrance
as well as adding a very elegant touch to the kitchen.

The first step was designing the wall with the arched opening as seen below...



Here you see the kitchen cabinets and appliances installed,
new lighting, the floor down and the walls painted...

Fast forwarding a bit, this is our creation installed and
viewing it from the kitchen side.

Below is the view that greeted you upon opening the
front door when we originally bought the house...


And FINALLY, the exact same view now. Can you believe that it's the same place?




The contractor built the arch crooked, one side was an inch and a half longer than the other side and the arc was apparently done freehand. (you can see it in the photos above when viewing from the kitchen side) so there was a lot of designing and soldering, and cutting the glass, and re-designing, unsoldering, re-soldering, re-cutting the glass, and yet again re-designing... I think you get the idea.
