While designing the new kitchen I kept in mind that somehow, I wanted to create an elegant entry or foyer. Therefore, I created a wall with an arched opening that we could insert a custom made beveled glass window into that greets you upon entering the front door.

The interior window will allow the light to filter in from the windows in the front door but still create the illusion of an exterior kitchen window when viewing it from within the kitchen.

Talk about an open floor plan! By having the kitchen, living room, dining room and family room walls removed we created a 1,000 square foot living space. I designed a 12 foot long bar to separate the great room from the kitchen and then had a short wall erected to hide the side of the refrigerator.
